Guided tours

Follow the mediator on a tour of Cal Mateu to discover together the history of Cerdanya over the years. This eighteenth century building, which was once a Cerdanya watchtower, then a food farm and now a Museum of France, tells us about the vicissitudes of the border, the agricultural traditions of the Cerdanya and, above all, the daily life of men and women in a mountainous area.

The guided tour takes place outdoors and lasts on average 45 minutes. It proposes a first active approach of the site in order to have keys of comprehension of the territory to then deepen its knowledge by traversing the various exhibitions. Each visit is unique, the mediator adapts his or her speech to the group according to the interests and questions of each person, thus creating a space conducive to exchange.
